南方医科大学

南方医科大学简介

南方医科大学前身为中国人民解放军第一军医大学，创建于1951年，1979年被确定为全国重点大学，2004年8月整体移交广东省，更名为南方医科大学。学校是全国首批、广东省唯一一所“部委省”共建高校，也是广东省高水平大学“重点建设高校”。

办学规模

现有校本部、顺德2个校区，占地面积168万平方米，建筑面积84.5万平方米，面向全国31个省、自治区、直辖市及港澳地区招生。现有17个学院，开设本科专业29个，其中7个国家特色专业，9个广东省特色专业，6个广东省名牌专业，全日制在校生约2万人，研究生近4000人，博士招生规模位列全国医学院校第二。

学科建设

学科覆盖医学、理学、工学、文学、管理学、法学、经济学等7大学科门类。现有10个博士学位授权一级学科，7个博士后流动站，其中医学类博士学位授权一级学科数居广东省首位，在全国医科院校中排名第二。拥有5个国家重点及培育学科，临床医学进入ESI全球前1%学科行列。

人才培养

学校是国家13所试办八年制医学教育的高等院校之一，也是唯一一所开设八年制医学教育的独立医科院校，全国首批“卓越医生教育培养”试点高校，与19个国家和地区的34所大学、科研机构建立了友好合作关系。建校以来，先后为国家和军队培养各类医学人才6万多名，涌现了以两院院士、全国大学生年度人物、全国“十大法治人物”为代表的一大批先进典型。

师资队伍

学校现有高级专业技术职称1282人，“两院院士”3人，国家“千人计划”7名，973首席科学家3人，“长江学者”7人，“杰青”8人，“百千万人才工程”国家级人选7人，国家“优青”1人，中组部“青年拔尖人才”1人，国家科技“领军人才”1人，广东省“南粤百杰”3人，广东省“领军人才”4人，广东省珠江学者特聘教授12人，国家级教学团队3个，博士生导师410名，硕士生导师637名，先后有143人享受国务院特殊津贴。

科学研究

学校拥有国家重点实验室、国家临床医学研究中心各1个，也是国家创新人才培养示范基地和国家级国际科技合作基地。2004年以来，共承担科研项目4116项，获资助经费13.2亿元。学校作为第一完成单位获国家科技二等奖以上奖励15项，作为第一完成单位获省部级科技一等奖43项。学校先后有6项标志性成果8次入选国家十大科技进展。

医疗实力

学校现有6所直属附属医院，床位总数超过7000张。拥有国家临床重点专科16个，国家中医药管理局重点学科6个、重点专科(病)8个，广东省“十二五”医学重点学科7个，广东省临床重点专科53个，广东省医疗质量控制中心4个，建成了广东省肾脏病研究所、广东省骨科研究院。南方医院惠侨楼是全国首家、规模最大的涉外医疗中心，曾被中央军委授予“模范医疗惠侨科”荣誉称号，并得到江泽民同志亲笔题词嘉勉。

产业开发

自20世纪80年代以来，学校开创了全国高校产学研一体化先河，以自主研发的“三九胃泰”、“正天丸”、“无限极口服液”、“尿毒清”等产品为基础，先后创建了深圳南方制药厂(三九集团前身)、南方李锦记营养保健品有限公司、广州康臣药业有限公司等国际知名的医药企业。研制出了国际上第一个SARS抗原检测试剂盒、第一台国产“X-刀”、国家Ⅰ类新药B超心脏造影剂、地中海贫血诊断试剂盒等高端科研产品并成功实现产业化。

Brief introduction of Southern Medical University

Southern Medical University, formerly known as the first military Medical University of the Chinese people’s Liberation Army, was founded in 1951 and was identified as a national key university in 1979. It was transferred to Guangdong Province in August 2004 and changed its name to Southern Medical University. The school is the first batch of colleges and universities in the country and the only “ministries and provinces” in Guangdong Province, and it is also a “key university” of high-level universities in Guangdong Province.

School scale

The existing school headquarters and two campuses in Shunde, covering an area of 1.68 million square meters and a construction area of 845000 square meters, are open to 31 provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government and Hong Kong and Macao to recruit students. At present, there are 17 colleges with 29 undergraduate majors, including 7 national characteristic majors, 9 Guangdong characteristic majors, 6 Guangdong famous brand majors, about 20, 000 full-time students and nearly 4000 graduate students. the scale of doctoral enrollment ranks second in medical colleges and universities in the country.

Discipline construction

Disciplines cover medicine, science, engineering, literature, management, law, economics and other seven disciplines. At present, there are 10 first-level disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees and 7 postdoctoral mobile stations, of which the number of authorized first-tier disciplines of medical doctoral degrees ranks first in Guangdong Province and ranks second among medical colleges and universities in China. It has 5 national key and nurturing disciplines, and clinical medicine is among the top 1% disciplines of ESI in the world.

Talent training

The school is one of the 13 national colleges and universities that try to offer eight-year medical education, and it is also the only independent medical university offering eight-year medical education. The first batch of pilot universities of “excellent doctor education and training” in the country have established friendly and cooperative relations with 34 universities and scientific research institutions in 19 countries and regions. Since its establishment, the school has successively trained more than 60,000 medical talents of various kinds for the state and the army, and a large number of advanced models have emerged, represented by academicians of the two academies, the annual figure of the national college students, and the country’s “top ten figures under the rule of law.”

Teaching staff

At present, the school has 1282 senior professional and technical titles, 3 academicians of the two academies, 7 national Thousand talents Plan, 3 chief scientists, 7 Yangtze River scholars, 8 Jieqing, 7 national candidates for the million million Talent Project, 1 national “excellent youth”, 1 “young top talent” from the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, 1 national science and technology “leading talent”, and 3 “Southern Guangdong Baijie” in Guangdong Province. There are 4 “leading talents” in Guangdong Province, 12 specially appointed professors of Zhujiang scholars in Guangdong Province, 3 national teaching teams, 410 doctoral supervisors, 637 master’s degree supervisors, and 143 people have successively received the special allowance of the State Council.

scientific research

The school has a national key laboratory and a national clinical medical research center. It is also a national demonstration base for training innovative talents and a national base for international scientific and technological cooperation. Since 2004, it has undertaken a total of 4116 scientific research projects with a funding of 1.32 billion yuan. As the first completion unit, the school has won more than 15 national science and technology second prize awards and 43 provincial and ministerial science and technology prizes. The school has 6 iconic achievements and has been selected into the country’s top ten scientific and technological progress for 8 times.

Medical strength

The school now has 6 directly affiliated hospitals with a total of more than 7000 beds. There are 16 national clinical key specialties, 6 key disciplines of the State Administration of traditional Chinese Medicine, 8 key specialties (diseases), 7 key medical disciplines of Guangdong Province during the 12th five-year Plan, 53 clinical key specialties of Guangdong Province, and 4 Guangdong Medical quality Control Centers. Guangdong Institute of Nephrology and Guangdong Institute of Orthopaedics have been established. The Huiqiao Building of Nanfang Hospital is the first and largest foreign-related medical center in the country. it has been awarded the honorary title of “Model Medical benefits overseas Chinese Section” by the Central military Commission and has been commended and encouraged by Comrade Jiang Zemin.

Industrial development

Since the 1980s, the school has created a national precedent for the integration of production, learning and research in colleges and universities, based on independently developed products such as “Sanjiuweitai”, “Zhengtian Pill”, “Infinite Oral liquid” and “Niaoduqing”. It has successively established international well-known pharmaceutical enterprises such as Shenzhen South Pharmaceutical Factory (the predecessor of Sanjiu Group), South Li Jinji Nutrition and Health products Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Kangchen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. The first international SARS antigen detection kit, the first domestic “X-knife”, national class I new drug B-ultrasound cardiac contrast agent, thalassemia diagnostic kit and other high-end scientific research products have been developed and industrialized successfully.
