华侨大学是中国著名高等学府，创办于1960年，校区分别坐落于中国著名侨乡福建省厦门市和泉州市，学校直属国务院侨务办公室领导。

华侨大学设有研究生院，有31个学院，138个研究院、所、中心;有20个博士学位授权点;111个硕士学位授权点，20个硕士专业学位授权点;88个本科专业。学校拥有哲学、经济学、法学、教育学、文学、历史学、理学、工学、农学、医学、管理学、艺术学等12个学科门类，形成了文理渗透、理工结合、工管相济、协调发展的学科体系。学校现有1个国家重点学科、40个省部级重点学科，
2个福建省“2011协同创新中心(含培育)”，3个教育部工程研究中心，5个博士后流动站，1个国家级实验教学示范中心，1个国务院侨办侨务理论研究基地，1个中国旅游研究院旅游安全研究基地，1个福建省社会科学研究基地，3个福建省高校人文社会科学研究基地(含建设)，1个福建省商务研究基地，
3个省级重点实验室，1个省级工程技术研究中心，4个省高校重点实验室，14个省级实验教学示范中心，
11个省研究生教育创新基地。学校总占地面积226.8万平方米，建筑面积97.6万平方米，现有各类图书资料共 390 余万册。

华侨大学现有博士生、硕士生4929名，全日制普通本科生23095名，全日制普通专科生1190名，其他成教学生13005名，其中有来自40多个国家和地区的华侨华人、港澳台和外国学生4550名，是全国拥有境外学生最多的大学之一。

华侨大学致力于服务社会，协同海内外力量，促进经济社会发展。学校设立了“厦门工程技术研究院”、“厦门城市建设与经济发展研究院”、“制造工程研究院”、“泉州科学技术与社会发展研究院”、“软件园产学研基地”、“世界冠军创业项目中心”等组织，全方位开展产学研合作，取得了显著成效。学校设立“海上丝绸之路研究院”、“华侨华人研究院”、“国际关系研究院”、“华文教育研究院”、“侨务公共外交研究所”、“中国海外发展研究中心”等研究院所，着力培养和打造高水平智库队伍，全面开展国家侨务战略、外交战略、重大科技战略、面向行业产业及区域发展战略等系列研究，打造特色型国家级智库。

Huaqiao University is a famous institution of higher learning in China, founded in 1960. Its campuses are located in Xiamen City and Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, the famous hometown of overseas Chinese in China.

Huaqiao University has graduate schools, 31 colleges, 138 research institutes, institutes, centers, 20 doctoral degree authorization points, 111 master’s degree authorization points, 20 master’s degree authorization points, and 88 undergraduate majors. The school has 12 disciplines, such as philosophy, economics, law, pedagogy, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, art, etc., forming a discipline system of infiltration of arts and science, combination of science and technology, combination of industry and management, and coordinated development. At present, Huaqiao University has 4929 doctoral and master’s degree students, 23095 full-time ordinary undergraduates, 1190 full-time general junior college students, and 13005 other adult education students. among them, there are 4550 overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and foreign students from more than 40 countries and regions, making it one of the universities with the largest number of overseas students in the country.

Huaqiao University is committed to serving the community and cooperating with forces at home and abroad to promote economic and social development. The school has set up “Xiamen Engineering and Technology Research Institute”, “Xiamen Urban Construction and Economic Development Research Institute”, “Manufacturing Engineering Research Institute”, “Quanzhou Science and Technology and Social Development Research Institute”, “Software Park Industry-University-Research Base”, “World Champion Entrepreneurship Project Center” and other organizations to carry out all-round industry-university-research cooperation and achieved remarkable results. The school has set up “Maritime Silk Road Research Institute”, “overseas Chinese Research Institute”, “International Relations Research Institute”, “Chinese Education Research Institute”, “overseas Chinese Affairs Public diplomacy Research Institute”, “China overseas Development Research Center” and other research institutes to train and build a high-level think tank team. We will comprehensively carry out a series of studies on national overseas Chinese affairs strategy, diplomatic strategy, major science and technology strategy, industry-oriented and regional development strategy, and create a characteristic national think tank.
