西安理工大学

西安理工大学属中央和陕西省共建、以陕西省管理为主的高校。学校前身是北京机械学院和陕西工业大学于1972年合并组建的陕西机械学院，

1994年1月经批准更名为西安理工大学。学校是国家“中西部高等教育振兴计划——中西部高校基础能力建设工程”入选高校、陕西省“高水平大学建设工程”支持高校。

学校现有金花、曲江、莲湖3个校区和大学科技园，占地总面积135.2万平方米。现设15个学院和1个教学部。学校设有23个本科实验教学中心，其中有3个国家实验教学示范中心，10个陕西省高等学校实验教学示范中心。建有8个博士后科研流动站，设有25个重点科研基地，其中有1个国家工程研究中心，1个国家重点实验室培育基地，2个教育部重点实验室，13个陕西省重点实验室和工程技术研究中心，1个2011陕西省协同创新中心，3个陕西高校哲学社会科学重点研究基地，3个陕西省军民两用技术研究中心。

学校是我国首批获得博士、硕士、学士学位授予权的高校之一。学校设有研究生院，现有10个博士学位授权一级学科，41个博士学位授权二级学科，23个硕士学位授权一级学科，91个硕士学位授权二级学科，学位授权点覆盖全部本科专业。水利工程学科为国家一级重点学科(涵盖5个二级学科)，

机械制造及其自动化等21个学科为陕西省重点学科，材料科学与工程等12个学科为陕西省优势学科。

Xi’an University of Technology is a university jointly built by the central government and Shaanxi Province, which is mainly managed by Shaanxi Province. The predecessor of the school is the Shaanxi Institute of Machinery, which was formed by the merger of Beijing Institute of Machinery and Shaanxi University of Technology in 1972.

It was approved to change its name to Xi’an University of Technology in January 1994. The school is selected by the national “Central and Western higher Education Revitalization Plan– the Midwest University basic capacity Building Project” and supported by the “High-level University Construction Project” in Shaanxi Province.

The school has three campuses of Jinhua, Qujiang and Lianhu and University Science and Technology Park, covering a total area of 1.352 million square meters. There are now 15 colleges and 1 teaching department. The school has 23 undergraduate experimental teaching centers, including 3 national experimental teaching demonstration centers and 10 experimental teaching demonstration centers in colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province. There are 8 postdoctoral research stations and 25 key scientific research bases, including 1 national engineering research center, 1 national key laboratory training base, 2 key laboratories of the Ministry of Education, 13 Shaanxi key laboratories and engineering technology research centers, 1 2011 Shaanxi Cooperative Innovation Center, 3 Shaanxi university philosophy and social science key research bases, 3 Shaanxi dual-use technology research centers.

The school is one of the first universities in China to obtain the right to grant doctoral, master’s and bachelor’s degrees. The school has a graduate school. At present, there are 10 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees, 41 second-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degrees, 23 first-level disciplines authorized for master’s degrees, 91 second-level disciplines for master’s degrees, and degree authorization points cover all undergraduate majors. Hydraulic engineering discipline is a national first-level key discipline (covering 5 second-level disciplines).

21 disciplines such as mechanical manufacturing and automation are key disciplines in Shaanxi Province, while 12 disciplines such as material science and engineering are dominant disciplines in Shaanxi Province.
