　　上海上汽国际赛车场位于上海市嘉定区安亭镇东北，占地面积2.5平方公里，距上海市中心30公里，距上海虹桥机场20公里。2002年10月动工兴建，2004年6月基本建成并通过国际汽联的验收。作为上海市重大工程项目，上海上汽国际赛车场是上海国际汽车城的重要组成部分，自2004年起成功举办的赛事和活动有：F1中国大奖赛、MotoGP中国大奖赛、V8国际超级房车大奖赛、A1世界杯汽车大奖赛、中国房车锦标赛、上海上汽国际赛车场系列赛以及各类厂商活动等，这些重大赛事圆满成功的举办对于推动上海汽车工业和汔车文化发展，展示上海乃至中国改革开放以来取得的重要成果具有十分重要的意义。

　　上海上汽国际赛车场赛道由国际著名的赛道专业设计公司德国惕克(Tilke)公司总设计，主赛道呈“上”字型，取自于“上海”地名中的上字，也蕴含首“蒸蒸日上”之意。全长5.45公里，由16个不同转弯半径的弯道组成，是目前F1赛事中最具气势最为优美的赛道，也是目前世界上最刺激、最惊险、难度最高并最具挑战性的赛道之一。结合辅助赛道共拥有8种组合方式，可举办各种级别的赛车运动。

　　上汽国际赛车场主体建筑面积16余万平方米，其中包括主看台、副看台、空中餐厅、新闻中心、能源中心、比赛工作楼、车队生活区、比赛控制塔和行政管理楼等，兼具赛事、商务活动、展示、休闲娱乐等多项功能，整个赛场看台可同时容纳约15万观众。

　　上汽国际赛车场周边交通十分便捷，S5(沪嘉)、G15(嘉金)、G2(沪宁)等多条高速公路与G1501(郊区环线)、中环线组成的道路交通网络，目前，从上海奥迪国际赛车场到市区仅40分钟左右的车程，离虹桥机场30分钟车程、浦东国际机场1小时车程。加上已经建成通车的轨道交通11号线(支线)直达赛车场，大大缩短了该地区与上海市中心城区以及周边昆山、太仓、无锡、苏州等地的距离。

Shanghai SAIC International Circuit is designed by the famous professional circuit design company Tilke of Germany. The main track is in the shape of & ldquo; & rdquo;, which is taken from the place name of & ldquo; Shanghai & rdquo;, and also contains the meaning of the first-ldquo; thriving & rdquo;. With a total length of 5.45 km and composed of 16 corners with different turning radii, it is not only the most powerful and beautiful track in F1, but also one of the most exciting, thrilling, difficult and challenging tracks in the world. The main construction area of SAIC International Circuit is more than 160,000 square meters, including the main grandstand, vice grandstand, aerial restaurant, news center, energy center, race work building, team living area, race control tower and administrative building, etc. it has many functions such as racing, business activities, display, leisure and entertainment, and the whole grandstand can hold about 150000 spectators at the same time.

The traffic around SAIC International Circuit is very convenient. Many highways such as S5 (Shanghai Jia), G15 (Jiajin), G2 (Shanghai and Nanjing) and G1501 (suburban Ring Line) and Central Ring Line constitute a road traffic network. At present, it is only a 40-minute drive from Shanghai Audi International Circuit to the city, a 30-minute drive from Hongqiao Airport and an hour’s drive from Pudong International Airport. In addition, the rail transit line 11 (branch line), which has been completed and opened to traffic, goes directly to the track, which greatly shortens the distance between the area and the central urban area of Shanghai and the surrounding places such as Kunshan, Taicang, Wuxi and Suzhou.
