　　德国专利商标局(简称DPMA)是管理德国工业产权的中心，成立于1949年，主要办公地点分别设在慕尼黑和耶拿。德国专利商标局下设有专利部、信息与交流部、商标与外观设计部、中心管理和法律事务部以及耶拿分局。截至2006年底，德国有效实用新型专利为104,117件，共有逾110万件有效商标注册。

　　德国专利商标局主要职能包括：发明专利申请的受理、审查和授权;实用新型、工业品外观设计、商标和集成电路布图设计申请的受理、审查和注册以及相关信息的公布;代表政府对工业产权工作执行监督管理，对工业产权授权纠纷进行裁决。

The German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA) is the center for the management of German industrial property rights. It was established in 1949 and its main offices are located in Munich and Jena. The German Patent and Trademark Office consists of the Patent Department, the Information and Communication Department, the Trademark and Design Department, the Central Management and legal Affairs Department and the Jena branch office. By the end of 2006, there were 104117 valid utility model patents in Germany, with more than 1.1 million valid trademarks registered.

The main functions of the German Patent and Trademark Office include: the acceptance, examination and authorization of invention patent applications; the acceptance, examination and registration of utility models, industrial designs, trademarks and integrated circuit layout-design applications and the publication of relevant information; to supervise and adjudicate industrial property rights authorization disputes on behalf of the government.
