　　奥地利国防部是奥地利最高军事行政领导机关，负责军队的战备、训练、行政管理、作战指挥、武器装备和后勤保障等工作，平时由联邦政府授权国防部长对联邦军行使指挥权。

　　奥地利国防部下辖总监部、法律条令部、人事动员部、作战训练部和供应装备部，武装力量由现役、民兵役和预备役三部分组成。目前，地面部队现有兵力3.5万人，空中部队现有兵力6700人。

The Austrian Ministry of National Defense is the highest military administrative leading organ in Austria, which is responsible for combat readiness, training, administration, operational command, weapons and equipment, and logistics support of the armed forces. In peacetime, the defense minister is authorized by the federal government to exercise command over the federal army.

Under the Austrian Ministry of National Defense, the Department of Supervision, the Department of laws and regulations, the Department of personnel Mobilization, the Department of operational training and the supply equipment Department, the armed forces are composed of three parts: active service, militia service and reserve service. At present, the current strength of the ground force is 35000 and that of the air force is 6700.
