AccountMap’s idea came from the company’s large enterprise customers. These enterprises hope to have a better understanding of the dynamics within the company in a more visual form. So the Smartsheet team studied what could be done with the data already being collected. Ideally, this means being able to track all the different projects within the company and all the people involved in them. Through AccountMap, you can see who on the team contributes the most to the project (which is helpful when you ask for a raise) or who contributes the least (it doesn’t look good when you write a year-end summary). And you can also see the working connections between different groups.
