The Historical Marker Database

　　历史标记数据库(TheHistoricalMarkerDatabase)也被称之为历史遗址数据库，这是一个由志愿者经营的网站，网站里有志愿者们找出的世界8万多个历史遗址的地理坐标，其中大部分在美国。

　　历史标记数据库通过记录路边的永久性户外标志、纪念碑来生成在线检索目录，包括照片、碑文抄录、标记位置、地图等信息，同时还包括的用户的评论信息，任何人都可以增加新的标记和更新照片、链接等信息。

The Historical Marker Database (TheHistoricalMarkerDatabase), also known as the Historical sites Database, is a volunteer-run website that contains the geographic coordinates of more than 80, 000 historical sites around the world, most of them in the United States.

The historical marker database generates an online search catalogue by recording permanent outdoor signs and monuments by the roadside, including photos, transcripts of inscriptions, marking locations, maps and other information, as well as user comments. Anyone can add new tags and update photos, links and other information.
