The Hebrew Literary Translation Institute is an Israeli language translation institute founded in 1962. Its main purpose is to make foreign readers understand the best modern Hebrew literature. It also represents Israeli authors at major international book fairs and meets publishers from around the world. The Institute also prepares books, catalogues and materials for smaller book fairs.

The authors and bibliographies are described in both the Israeli authors and the pocket catalogue, including biographies, lists of books published in Hebrew and lists of translations that have been published abroad. Consultations and cooperation on any of these titles must be conducted through the Institute or its authorized representatives. The Hebrew Literary Translation Institute has launched projects aimed at promoting interest in Hebrew literature in countries where there is little access to modern Hebrew literature, it is more than happy to provide public information, short biographies and photographs of authors to foreign publishers, journalists and the general public. Recent projects have focused on the translation of Arabic, Russian and other CIS languages, Chinese, Hindi and Japanese. The Hebrew Institute of Literary Translation has also collaborated on a special Hebrew literature catalogue project in China.
