Founded in 1961, the University of Sussex is the leading university in the UK and part of the international academic community. It is in line with international aspirations in the fields of teaching and research as well as business and industry.

Environmental facilities of the University of Sussex

The University of Sussex is ideally located on temperate meadows and has a safe campus environment. The shops, entertainment facilities and restaurants around the university are located in what is known as an “excellent natural scenic spot” around the Sussex countryside.

More than 90% of the academic staff and all disciplines of the University of Sussex are rated as national and international excellence. Among the university’s academic staff are two Nobel laureates, twelve members of the Royal Society, six members of the British Academy and a prestigious Crafoord laureate. These findings reflect the high standard of funding that the University of Sussex attracts from industry, research organizations and government agencies.
