　　纳尔逊-艾特金斯美术馆主馆是由堪萨斯建筑公司设计新古典风格的建筑1933年正式对公众开放，扩建工程布洛赫馆以美术馆信托基金会主席布洛赫夫妇命名，2007年完工投入使用，设计者史蒂文•霍尔建筑事务所因此获得2008年AIA建筑荣誉奖。

　　纳尔逊-艾特金斯美术馆由威廉•罗克希尔•纳尔逊及其家人律师共同努力捐助建立，筹备期间1930-1933年该馆委托专人收购欧洲、中国和印度等地艺术品，时值中国民国初期纳尔逊-艾特金斯美术馆也
因此收藏了大量中国青铜器、佛雕、宋至明清画作、明清瓷器家具和明黄花梨家具等艺术品，所藏绘画部分包括董其昌的《仿古山水册页》，李成《晴峦萧寺图》，
马远《西园雅集图》，石涛《赠刘石头山水册页》，许道宁《秋江渔艇图(渔舟唱晚图)》，赵佶(宋徽宗)《四禽图》。

The Nelson-Atkins gallery main Pavilion is a neoclassical style building designed by the Kansas Architecture Company and officially opened to the public in 1933. The expansion project Bloch Pavilion was named after Bloch, chairman of the gallery Trust Foundation, and was completed and put into use in 2007. Designer Steven Hall Architectural firm won the 2008 AIA Architecture Honor Award.

Nelson-Atkins gallery was established by the joint efforts of William Rockhill Nelson and his family lawyers. During the preparation period from 1930 to 1933, the museum commissioned people to purchase works of art from Europe, China and India. Nelson Atkins gallery was also in the early period of the Republic of China.
