　　自1998年以来，菲律宾国家博物馆一直是国家政府在恢复和维护菲律宾各地重要的文化财产、遗址和保留方面的监管和执法机构。博物馆经营着国家美术馆、国家人类学博物馆、国家自然历史博物馆和国家天文馆，所有这些都位于马尼拉黎刹公园附近。该机构还在全国各地经营着许多分支博物馆。

Since 1998, the National Museum of the Philippines has been the regulatory and law enforcement agency of the National Government in the restoration and maintenance of important cultural property, sites and reserves throughout the Philippines. The museum operates the National gallery, the National Museum of Anthropology, the National Museum of Natural History and the National Planetarium, all near Rizal Park in Manila. The agency also operates many branch museums across the country.

Cultural relics in the collection: the collection is mainly native natural specimens

(animals, plants, geology), works of art, archaeological discoveries and handicrafts. There are showrooms for art, plants, animals, geology, anthropology and so on. The Celestial Museum has a separate museum. The museum popularizes scientific and technological knowledge to students and the masses; conducts basic research in anthropology and archaeology, geology and paleontology, botany and zoology; and guides national research and protection of national art, history and cultural heritage.
