　　芬兰设计博物馆是芬兰最重要的一家设计博物馆。博物馆始建于1873年，二战期间管内展品都被敌军洗劫一空，1978年芬兰政府在位于赫尔辛基市中心的一座建筑中重新建立了设计博物馆。

　　每年设计博物馆大概会举办10~15个展览。其中有3-4个大型的展览，大概会展出一两个月左右;另外还会有一些小型的展览，可能只有一周到几周的时间。博物馆机构内有一个专门组织展览的部门，展览者需要先提交申请，由这个部门的委员会来决定是否可以在博物馆内进行展览及展览的时间。

The Finnish Design Museum is the most important design museum in Finland. The museum was founded in 1873 and its exhibits were ransacked by the enemy during World War II. In 1978, the Finnish government re-established the design museum in a building in the center of Helsinki.

The Design Museum holds about 10 to 15 exhibitions every year. There are three or four large exhibitions that will probably be on display for a month or two, and there will be some small exhibitions that may only last a week to a few weeks. Within the museum institution, there is a department specializing in organizing exhibitions. Exhibitors are required to submit applications first, and the committee of this department will decide whether exhibitions can be held in the museum and the timing of exhibitions.

We always try to find a balance between pure art exhibitions and craft exhibitions, and we also take into account both domestic and international exhibitions. All in all, we always try to cover all aspects and let Finns know more about art and design.

In 2008, we held many jewelry design exhibitions, some from Finnish designers, some from foreign designers, such as Indian designers and so on. There is also a furniture exhibition at Kukapolo, which will last about two months. There are also exhibitions of industrial products by young Finnish designers and exhibitions of ceramics and glass in Finland.
