Museum), located in the town of Dover in the south of England, was built in February 1836. The museum was originally located in the old city hall, but years later it was taken over by the city council and moved to a new building. A large number of collections were lost in the museum during World War II, including almost all of the natural history exhibits, and the preserved exhibits were exhibited again after the war.

The Dover Museum displays important cultural relics involving many complex and short historical periods of Dover, as well as their text, pictures and video materials. In 1999, the then Queen of England opened a “Bronze Age Sailing ship gallery” on the second floor of the museum, which displays a 3, 600-year-old ship, the oldest known ship in the world.
