德国历史博物馆

　　这座花了5年时间、耗资约4.99亿港元增建的展览馆，于2003年5月24日落成。也是以玻璃和钢铁制成的现代建筑物。德国历史博物馆馆长奥托迈尔盛赞其为“完美的设计”，见证了已届86岁高龄的贝聿铭宝刀未老。

　　柏林上空的天似乎离德国历史博物馆新扩建的大楼特别近。螺旋式楼梯的玻璃中心柱蜿蜒在三个楼层之间，看上去就像是一个透明的蜗牛壳。在每一个楼层，走廊就像露台一样伸进雄伟的玻璃大厅，每一个玻璃大厅的圆顶以巨大的弧形凸出，在平时一般被遮挡住的大楼的整个边上形成了拱形。一个巨大的玻璃柜，建筑学的展品，那是由玻璃、钢筋与砂石组成的吸引观众的磁铁–这就是德国第一个贝聿铭作品。

(DHM) the German Museum of History, founded in 1987 in Berlin, Germany, has a wide range of exhibits, ranging from medieval manuscripts to tents used by Turkey to surround Vienna to the Trabi car of the former Democratic Republic of Germany. The most important thing is that these exhibits must be original.

The exhibition hall, which took five years and cost about 499 million Hong Kong dollars, was completed on May 24, 2003. It is also a modern building made of glass and steel. Otomer, curator of the German Museum of History, praised it as a “perfect design”, witnessing that the 86-year-old I.M. Pei is still alive.

The sky over Berlin seems to be very close to the newly expanded building of the German Museum of History. The glass central column of the spiral staircase winds between the three floors and looks like a transparent snail shell. On each floor, the corridor stretches like a terrace into the majestic glass hall, and the dome of each glass hall protrudes in a huge arc, forming an arch on the entire edge of the normally obscured building. A huge glass case, an architectural exhibit, an attractive magnet made of glass, steel and sand-this is the first German work by I.M. Pei.
