　　奥赛博物馆是由废弃多年不用的奥赛火车站改建而成，1986年底建成开馆。改建后的博物馆长140米、宽40米、高32米，馆顶使用了3.5万平方米的玻璃天棚。博物馆实用面积5.7万多平方米，共拥有展厅或陈列室80个，展览面积4.7万平方米，其中长期展厅1.6万平方米。
