　　特纳当代美术馆资1750万英镑，原先的设计方案是Snhetta和Spence提出的，但因为技术上的困难和造价攀升等问题而在2006年被废弃。5个月后，Chipperfield事务所受聘接管了该项目，施工从2008年12月展开。

Contemporary), a visual arts agency located by the sea in the small town of Maguette, is one of the largest and most important art spaces in London, UK, and the official opening of gallery was hailed as one of the most anticipated cultural events of 2011.

Turner’s £17.5 million gallery was originally designed by Snhetta and Spence but was abandoned in 2006 because of technical difficulties and rising costs. Five months later, Chipperfield was hired to take over the project, and construction began in December 2008.

Gallery has brought about real changes in the local economy, and it has helped change the way people think about Maguette. More new companies have started in the old city and high street, and the city has begun to prosper as nearly 1 million new tourists come to Maguette.
