　　向日庵修建在海岸的悬崖峭壁之上，在奇岩绝壁间生长着郁郁葱葱的山茶树等亚热带植物，因此这里不仅是观看日出日落的好地方，也是赏花赏景的绝佳胜地。向日庵和洛山寺红莲庵、锦山菩提庵、江华普门寺一起被誉为4大观音祈祷道场。但向日庵有一点不同于其他寺庙，那就是这里有两个观音殿，一个是被称为龙王殿的观音殿，另一个是有海水观音像的观音殿。
