OpenFOAM is an object-oriented CFD class library written entirely by C++. It uses a method similar to our daily habit to describe the finite volume discretization of partial differential equations in the software. It supports polyhedral meshes (such as polyhedral meshes generated by CCM+ produced by CD-adapco), so it can deal with complex geometric shapes and support large-scale parallel computing.
