美国平面设计协会

　　美国平面设计协会(American Institute of Graphic
Arts)经常简称为AIGA，是美国知名的专业平面设计组织，成立于1914年，总部位于纽约市，现有2万多位会员与200多个学生分会。致力于推动美国设计发展与设计出版。主要活动皆以视觉传达设计为主，重视专业设计师之间的意见与资讯交流。

　　美国平面设计协会是非营利组织，在1914年时，仅是美国艺术俱乐部中的40位设计师所集结的组织，由查尔斯·迪凯(Charles Dekay)提议命名为美国平面设计协会，并选出威廉·霍华(William H.
Howland)为负责人，接着逐渐演变为今日的规模。

　　AIGA目前每年举办两大设计竞赛，分别称为“365天：AIGA年度设计竞赛”与“50/50：书本与封面竞赛”并出版有下列刊物，分别为Voice数位设计期刊，AIGA设计期刊，AIGA
Winterhouse设计写作与评论期刊等。并不定期举办许多教育研讨会和工作坊。最盛大的研讨会为两年举办一次的AIGA设计大会，每次为期4天。

AIGA currently holds two major design competitions every year, called “365days: AIGA Annual Design Competition” and “50Universe 50: book and cover Competition”, and publishes the following publications, namely, Voice Digital Design Journal, AIGA Design Journal and AIGA

Winterhouse Design, Writing and Review Journals, etc. Many educational seminars and workshops are held irregularly. The biggest seminar is the biennial AIGA design conference, each lasting 4 days.
