However, we cannot always hope for the best. It is inevitable that there will be delays in flying every day, and in the more mysterious space, accidents will inevitably occur when flying on spacecraft, so it is very important to make a good plan.

Imagine that when you fly to a place of travel in space, you are experiencing a vacuum in your extravehicular spacesuit, or enjoying the vastness of the stars in front of the window of a spacecraft on your way, but suddenly encounter a “storm” in space (the space weather forecast will only be more unreliable than on Earth). Unable to act on time, but we are almost out of food when we set out, what should we do?

In other words, how can people get supplies if they are stranded somewhere in space because of special circumstances?

Many people must have blurted out, “grow potatoes!”

Yes, science fiction shows us a lot of situations, which are divided into two categories.

First, space capsule planting and breeding. In recent years, Chinese spaceships have carried earth crop seeds into the sky many times. Researchers carry out all kinds of experiments with the help of the special space environment. Thanks to the “vegetable-loving genes” of China’s big agricultural countries, China has finally built a reusable regenerative life support system, that is, vegetables can be replanted in the space capsule.

Imagine that in the future, in addition to carrying food products that do not affect the safety of the human body and equipment, space tourists will certainly be able to eat fresh green leafy vegetables.

The astronauts of the International Space Station have already tasted space chili tacos. As the space capsule planting industry climbs to new heights and more and more plants are harvested, it is not impossible to raise little fat sheep in the space capsule, and everyone may have unexpected benefits in space.

Second, planting and breeding on other planets. Chinese and foreign scientific research teams have successfully cultivated plants by using lunar soil.As the space power generation project provides more and more energy, considering the progress of chemistry and biotechnology, it may be very close to the lunar soil to produce potatoes and other crops in large quantities.

Astronomers have been trying to find sources of water, soil and oxygen on nearby planets. After all, water and oxygen are important basic materials for the existence of life on Earth. The research team has found active compounds in lunar soil, which are expected to help synthesize oxygen, hydrogen, methane, methanol and other fuels.

Perhaps in the near future, with the material of other planets and the “secret recipe”, earthlings can really learn from “astronaut Mark Watney” and develop a suitable environment and plant fast-growing plants in space travel places such as Mars. Improve the quality of life. If local building conditions permit, it is also possible to raise animals.

Aren’t these ideas wonderful? In fact, the people on earth who do so are all “diligent and honest people”.

There is no shortage of food service areas near today’s airports and highways, and 24-hour convenience stores will probably have been opened during future space trips, with supplies regularly supplied by spacecraft and enough inventory for space tourists to consume for a long time.

If the stock is limited, space tourists can signal to the Earth or the nearby space city for help. It is believed that the developed Chinese reusable cargo spacecraft will send supplies as soon as possible. This should be the most reliable way, after all, space tourists are not all good vegetable growers.

As the reusability of cargo ships continues to improve, the comprehensive efficiency of China in transporting space supplies will further improve, and enjoying hot pot, barbecue and crayfish at the space station will not be a distant dream.
