微软表示这个警告并不会出现在 Windows 8.1 专业版、企业版、Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Enterprise 和 Windows Embedded 8.1 Industry Pro 版本中。
Windows 8.1 的主流支持于 2018 年 1 月 9 日停止，而扩展支持将会持续到 2023 年 1 月 10 日。微软表示该日期之后所有的支持都会停止。微软鼓励依然使用这款老系统的设备尽快的进行升级。

With the Windows 8.1 KB5015874 cumulative update released last week, this warning alert began to appear on Windows 8.1 devices.
