OfficialCyanogenMod support did arrive last year. As for AT&T, the mobile carrier has just released an update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 (T807A). This release is available via Firmware Over The Air (FOTA). You only need WiFi connection to download the files.
This particular software update brings Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Android device security updates, and AT&T’s very own NumberSync service. This means you can soon make calls from the tablet by using your existing mobile number from AT&T. You don’t have to get another SIM or keep another line because NumberSync lets you use your own number on different devices.
To get the update, proceed to your tablet’s Settings> General tab, About device> Software update> Check for updates. Download and install by following the message prompts.
To verify the update, you should see the following information as listed by AT&T:
• Android Version: 6.0.1
• Security Patch Level (SPL): September 1, 2016
• Baseband Version: T807AUCU1CPI8
• Kernel Version: 3.4.39-9294073 [email protected] #1 Wed Sept 21 16:22:26 KST 2016
• Build Number: MMB29K.T807AUCU1CPI8
