The Galaxy Note 7 fiasco isn’t just a disaster for Samsung. Plenty of accessory manufacturers and retailers like Amazon are caught in the crossfire, too. Some users on reddit are reporting they were able to obtain a refund on a wireless charging dock and a case purchased for the Galaxy Note 7. The poster notes he purchased the items ahead of the devices’ launch, so they were well beyond the 30-day return limit of Amazon’s usual policy.
While this is anecdotal evidence, it’s worth trying if you purchased a few cases or other accessories for your Galaxy Note 7 from the retailer. Contact chat and explain that the accessories are for a device that has been recalled and that the manufacturer is no longer making and see if you can get your money back since you won’t be able to use those accessories any time in the future.
