Apple gives devs new betas for iOS, watchOS and tvOS
Developers received a batch of new beta software updates today bringing a bunch of bug fixes to the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Apple TV.
iOS 10.1 beta 2 is the most notable of the new beta builds. The last version added the new Portrait Mode to the iPhone 7 Plus, which has earned rave reviews so far, though some early images have shown it still needs some tweaking.
Register Apple developers can download all three new betas from the Apple Developer Center. They can also be installed via over-the-air updates if you have the configuration profile on your device already.
None of the release notes for iOS 10.1 beta 2, watchOS 3.1 beta 2 or tvOS 10.0.1 beta 2 mention any major UI changes. The updates most likely focus on under-the-hood changes and performance enhancements.
Developers who have already installed iOS 10.1 beta 2 have noted that the update adds a scroll bar to the Messages App Drawer and its no longer to drag and drop stickers when using Split View on the iPad.
We’ll let you know if we find any other changes after we’ve had time to play with the new updates.
