One of Nokia’s first Android smartphonesthat will sell sometime around the end of this yearmay have mid-ranger specs and Android Nougat on board.
Geekbench has several entries in its database for the “Nokia D1C,” which many suspect to be one of the devices being manufactured by brand licensee HMD Global Oy.
Running down the details, we’re seeing Android 7.0, about 3GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 430, an octa-core unit running exclusively with the Cortex-A53 product at a top speed of 1.4GHz. All of the 400-series chipsets, including the newer Snapdragon 435, still use Qualcomm’s older 28nm architecture. Single-core scores over five tests were in the upper 600s while multi-core tests hovered between 2745 and 3229.
Once again, this “D1C” could be just one of the several smartphones that Nokia will release over the next few months.
